Important Notice to Our Clients
Colesville Meals on Wheels
If you wish to skip your meals for one (1) day only:
Call Colesville Meals on Wheels office (301-384-7440) before 9:30 am of the day you wish to be skipped.
You do not need to call to restart your meals.
If you wish to stop your meals for 2 through 5 (2-5) days:
Call Colesville Meals on Wheels office (301-384-7440) one (1) day (by 9:30am) before the day you wish to stop. Tell us the exact dates you wish to stop and restart your meals.
You do not need to call to restart your meals.
If you are not at home on the exact date you asked to restart your meals:
You will be charged for the meal we could not deliver. Your meals will be stopped again.
Your meals will not restart until you call Colesville Meals on Wheels office (301-384-7440). Your meals will restart the day following your 9:30am call.
For Example – Call the office by 9:30am on Monday, if you wish to stop meals on Tuesday and want to restart meals on that Friday. Again, talk to the person answering the phone or leave a message saying that you wish to stop your meals on Tuesday and resume them on that Friday. Tell us the exact dates you wish to stop and restart. You do not need to call to restart your meals.
However, if you are not at home that Friday, you will be charged for the meal we could not deliver and your meals will be stopped. Then you must call the office, and we will not resume them until the day following your 9:30am call.
If you wish to stop your meals for 6 days through 2 weeks:
Call Colesville Meals on Wheels office (301-384-7440) one (1) day (by 9:30am) before the day you wish to stop. Tell us the exact dates you wish to stop meals.
Then call Colesville Meals on Wheels office (301-384-7440) one (1) day (by 9:30am) before the day you wish to restart your meals. Tell us the exact date you wish to restart.
If you do not call, we will not automatically restart your meals.
If you are not at home on the exact date you asked to restart your meals:
You will be charged for the meal we could not deliver. Your meals will be stopped again.
Your meals will not restart until you call Colesville Meals on Wheels office (301-384-7440). Your meals will restart the day following your 9:30am call.
For Example – Call on Monday (one day before) by 9:30am, if you wish to stop your meals on Tuesday and you will be gone for 9 days. Again, talk to the person answering the phone or leave a message saying that you wish to stop your meals on Tuesday. Tell us the exact dates you wish to stop your meals. YOU MUST CALL THE OFFICE 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE OF THE DAY (by 9:30am) YOU WISH TO RESUME YOUR MEALS.
If you wish to cancel your meals for more than 2 weeks

If you have not received meals for more than 2 weeks:
You will be placed on the waiting list.

Then call Colesville Meals on Wheels office (301-384-7440) one (1) day (by 9:30am) before the day you wish to restart your meals. Tell us the exact date you wish to restart your meals.
If our roster of clients is full, you will be notified as soon as we are ready to restart your meals.
If you have to go into the hospital/rehab:

If you are coming home from the hospital/rehab:
Call Colesville Meals on Wheels office (301-384-7440) as soon as you can.
Let us know the exact date when you will be home.
If you have been away longer than 2 weeks and our client roster is full, you will be notified as soon as we are ready to restart your meals.
If you wish to change from a Regular meal to a Puree or Mechanically Soft meal:
Call Colesville Meals on Wheels office (301-384-7440) one (1) day (by 9:30am) before the day you wish the change to be made.
If you wish to cancel your meals for good:
Call Colesville Meals on Wheels office (301-384-7440) one (1) day (by 9:30am) before the day you wish to cancel your meals. Tell us the exact date you wish to stop.
